We booked a hill house for 1500THB but since the resort was near empty we were upgraded on arrival to a Pool Villa. Very nice view and surroundings, the staff was very helpful as well. There is no nearby bridge over the river so to go to Chaloklum Village you need either walk (20 minutes) or rent a motorbike. The staff can also bring you to the village with the resort pickup. Also there is no beach in front of the resort, only rocks - anyway it's better to do the 10mn drive or 40mn walk to nearby Coral Bay which is quiet, secluded and gorgeous. In the end the resort was great value for money.

The most annoying thing with this place is the restaurant! Its only open at two hours at a time, morning, lunch and evening. So if you are hungery at any other time you have to eat somewhere else, and there are no other restaurants within walking distance. The meny was also pretty poor. The local beach is not nice. The rooms and surroundings are beautiful but longtailboats are passing by into a close by canal every so often making a loud noise. When we checkad out they had included a extra bill that wasnt ours by misstake, fortunately I noticed it and didtnt pay for it.

Very poor `resort`.

There are no good things to tell about Buritara. It`s a horrible place to stay.

We stayed here for 1 night and it was a nightmare. We had a `cottage`, but the room was smelly, moisty, funghi and old. The beds are very hard and uncomfertable. We had some strange insect bites (we think from some sort of bugs in the bed) and it was sure not from musquito`s. We had a door in our room to the room nextdoor. The door was bend and we could look in the nextdoor room and see the guests doing there things. After complaining about this they send a `engineer` ! to fix the problem. The engineer took a plank of wood and nailed it on the doorframe with 2 big nails. We still could look inside the other room. There was NO WiFi in the rooms as promissed on the site. Only in the restaurant. The garden is 1 big building sight. And it seems that it is like this for several years and the end is not in sight. There are building materials everywhere. They are building about 12 `new rooms` in the garden from second hand materials ! and they look even wurse then the `old rooms`. The water in the swimmingpool was green and we was scared to go for a swim. The beach was no beach but just a muddy and dirty sight. Breakfast (included) was very poor. You could choose from 4 things and that was it. You get 1 egg per person.

Wenn Sie Erholung pur brauchen, dann sind Sie hier richtig. Im Buritara ist man nämlich vollkommen isoliert. Der Bungalow war absolut in Ordnung, da gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Das Restaurant ist okay, aber das Personal spricht kaum englisch. Das Frühstücksbuffet haut Dich nicht vom Sockel, aber ist in Ordnung. Der Pool ist das Positivste an dieser Anlage. Er liegt direkt am kleinen Strand der aber nicht sehr einladend ist und baden im Meer ist nicht möglich wegen der Steine und Felsen. Es gibt keine Bar am oder in der Nähe des Pools und deshalb auch keine Musik. Wie gesagt: Erholung pur. Wir sind bereits nach einem Tag wieder weiter gereist obschon wie für einige Nächte mehr bezahlt hatten.

Gute Lage...etwas abseits! wenn man faul ist muss man durch nen Fluss schwimmen...ansonsten muss man einen beschwerlichen weg aufnehmen ins dorfzentrum...man kann gut essen....richtig lecker!
